I have one and it will cut up and spit out anything it can push over. It's a 17 HP beast and it will do more than the ads say but it's a handfull to work it that hard. Now as some of you know my buddy is building the off road park in Raton NM and I visited him today. He wants to buy my DR and mount it to the front end loader bucket of his 28 HP diesel Branson tractor to cut in areas to ruff to pull a regular brush hog thru. He's crazy enough to pull it off but I don't know. A skid steer tractor with hydrolic front end brush hog is 30K.
Got any better ideas before my DR gets swung around from the front end of a tractor?:eek:http://www.drpower.com/TwoStepCategory.aspx?Name=FieldBrush2Step&LinkType=3&BC=0

We had one of those growing up on the farm back in Canada to clear snowmobile & ski trails through the forest - they work fantastic.
How wide is his tractor though? The one we had wasn't much wider than a regular walk behind mower - I can't see cutting a wide enough swath to let a tractor through without having to make multiple passes (which would mean lots of back & forth).

The A Solution: twin DRs :evil laugh:
How $$ is the DR?

if a DR will cut it up a regular brush hog should too. Mine will tear up just about anything that is on the ground.

x2.
If the job is too big for a brush hog he needs to look into a flail mower.
