Well my upcoming photo shoot will include quite a bit of product shots so I am goign to finally make my lightbox. Have had all the supplies sitting here in my room for many months, just never actually constructed it.
If folks are interested in a how to on the build I will do a write-up with pics. I need mine to be versatile so I can shoot with any color back drop so am making it a bit different than most I have seen online.
Let me know and I will post it up.

I built one out of PVC pipe and used white poster board for the actual box sides...but id be interested in seeing how you build yours.

Now this would be the thing that they sell at Wolf with the nylon sides and all that? You actually put something in it? If so, I'm really excited to see you make one! They're kind of pricey!!
(Can you make those reflector things too? I wanted the set of four, but again...bad poker lately has cut into my fun budget.)

Yup, same concept...they are pricey if you buy them.
As for reflectors...I have been using pieces of white foam board from Michaels. Try to tell y'all...I am cheap!!! :lmao:

yep, I sure do! post up!
here here, I'm with Tiffany on being cheap. I used a white styrofoam board for months before I actually bought a reflector.

I would think styrofoam would be better than foamboard - the bumpy surface should help the light diffract...

When I made mine I used foam core I then cut oval holes on the sides and used 3M adhesive to glue down some sport fabric over the holes as a diffuser.I have a piece of 1 1/2 inch high density foam that I put different colored pillow cases on to add some color if needed.I use the typical 8" and 5" reflector lights on a home made stand with 150 W day lighter bulbs. 2 lights are plenty of light for the area.I belive there are a couple of samples that I shot for live better bracelets on my website. It all cost me less than 30bucks for all of it and it works great for what I do.

Well I am about done with the lightbox, had intended to write the how to tonight 'cept ran in to one problem....glued my fawking fingers together in the process :lmao:
Yeah, when shopping for supplies late at night, maybe stop for a second and read the spray adhesive can you are grabbing. This crap does not come off!!!! Went online to find out how others dealt with it...to find that many had to wait a week for it to start wearing off.
FAWK ME!!!!!
I can't help but laugh, but damn...I don't want to touch my camera and have 40 products to finish shooting by tomorrow afternoon. Time for the rubber gloves, which BTW would have been a good idea a little bit earlier in this process.
Write-up tomorrow or Wednesday.

Box works just fine, got all the hats shot. Think the overall "design" works well, but it is a major experiement with what type of diffusing material works best (and is cheap).
I will do the write-up this afternoon and post up...gotta take Sydney to the movie right now.
