The Eastman House was unf&#$ing believable. Pictures coming soon, but damn. This guy was a genius. Rochester would not exist without him., And his 35,000 sf mansion, built in 1907, was unfreaking believable. Half of the MGM films in existence are in the vault here, including a little known film called Gone With the Wind. Wow, incredible place...

Really neat place to visit. I thought it was interesting how the mansion was cut in half and like 3 feet added to it to make the accoustics better in the Ball Room. The elephant mount in that room is awesome.
The weirdest thing was how he lived on one side and his mother lived on the other, both were designed to each of their tastes.
My favorite room was the Library/Billiards Room.
Must be nice to be super rich (and never married, Just kidding).
You obviously spent more time outside than I did, I was there in December sometime in the mid-90's. Too damn cold there for me.

The history of the whole area is pretty cool, and the house itself was awesome. Definitely spent a lot of time outside, it has been pretty nice here. The elephant foot vase was weird, but the hind foot trash can was even more odd...
Went to the Casa Larga Vineyard tonight. Importing pics now. Might be some good stock stuff in there.

Nice pics.
Reminds me of a little Biltmore.
