Stupid card reader thingie

I'm gonna shoot myself. Or actually, my card reader.

I bought a 4gb SDHC card and now my card reader won't work. I want to smash it with a hammer and then drive over it. :mad::mad::mad: I know I can connect the whole camera to the computer but that sucks.

Can anyone recommend a card reader that will read my old 2gb cards and this 4gb HC one too??

I bought some cheapie one that seems to work well with everything...no name walmart shelf, $12 or so.

Older readers will not read the new high capacity cards. The last card I bought came with a reader that is backward compatible.

My printer has a built in card reader that works pretty well. No extra USB cords to get tangled up in the rats nest behind my desk.

I just read the other day that some cameras won't accept cards bigger than 2GB too - was very surprised to read that - be sure to check yours before buying the bigger card!

Yup, i kept the 4GB SDHC card when i sold my D80 and was going to use it in my fiances P&S which she only had a 512MB ones for...didnt work and the cameras not old at all... :rolleyes:
