If you have a 2nd Gen CTD, do you ever notice the steering SUCKS?!
Mostly wandering or a constant correction feeling. I've changed every joint in the front end, 3 gear boxes, 2 PS pumps, and 2 hydro-boosts. After all that the 3rd gear box made me really think on how to super-fix this thing. I've looked at PSC kits, but I guess most people that have installed them say it didn't really "fix" the problem, just made it better.
Now I've drove a 3rd gen CTD, and the steering is much firmer and responsive. I did enough research to find out that a guy makes a 3rd gen conversion for the 2nd gen trucks. Everyone knows the CTD will outlast most of us in the long haul and I didn't want to trade the thing in if I could fix it. So I found www.wildhorsesuspension.com from NwBombers.com forum board. Scott's kit is awesome! Easy to install and what a difference. I now have one hand on the wheel instead of two white knuckles in traffic. It really feels like driving a car instead of this monster out of control. Anyways here's his site if anyone is interested:
