Was at BUNCE last sunday. The two trails that lead to the IRONCLADS have been graded they are smooth as a babys back side. A couple rees pulled across the upper part to keep you out of that. The locals are trying to put up a fence in the parking area the one just past the school house and around the corner.

They'll be relocating the staging area for Bunce this year I think...I vaguely remember something about that at the BRD FS OHV meeting.

ARLO recall last year that the DRUNK LANDOWNER that was packing heat. Claimed that some jeepers had damaged his fence and at first 30 trees then said was only 12 but ended up being a few dead ones. Well after doing some checking I found that there is a 40ft easement for the road in that area in other words 40ft wide strip of public land. It has always ate at e hat he had the fence built right along side the road, in fact the Damage that was done was caused by some fence post that had fell into the road and were covered by snow. Take a look at tis pic, I found this on BOULDER COUNTY site it allowed me to make the measure. Sure that isn't accurate but it is close enough to make a great point. Seems that he was falsely accusing the guys as it was in reality him that was trespassing. Widest part was 27ft.

I was up there on Memorial Day. There was a small sign there stating that Forest Access was another 100 yards up the road, which clarified the situation for me. Photos of the new fence.

That may change before long, some stuff in the works. From what I understand COHO has filed some court papers claiming PERCEPTIVE EASEMENT, that means that if an area has been used continualy over 18 years it then belongs to the users. All they would of had done was move the fence back some, everyone would have been happy with that.
