Where's a good spot to park a truck and trailer when running Eagle Rock? Don't mind driving the ZJ on the road for a little bit, but don't want to drive it all the way down there.
EDIT: Looking at Google Earth there looks to be a spot on the south side of the road just past the turnoffs for Eagle Rock and Saran Wrap that would work, can anyone confirm that or suggest another location?

I always leave my truck and trailer at the Home Depot parking lot (South Gate Shopping Center). I don't trust some of the yahoos that go up Gold Camp.

Home Depot would be the best place. And then you have I would say about 7-8 miles to drive on pavement.

And I have seen tons of people park there and drive their non street legal rigs to the trail and back as long as someone with taillights is behind them.

We always leave ours at the big flat open spot by the baldy trail head. Usually lots of traffic, other trailers and cars, and never had anybody mess with them.

I have seen a few trailers parked at the right hand switchback just after you get off pavement as you are heading up Old Stage.
