My Grand is a capable stocker, and all that I have done so far is Herman, which is a bit too easy. What would be a good trail in the area that has a few obstacles that a stocker could handle? Thanks, guys.

Lots of trails up on Old Stage and Herman areas. Also lots of back country trails down in Canon City. Leave Penrose area alone though.

I ran Schuberth Road a couple of weeks ago as my first trail. I have a stock Wrangler with 30 inch tires and had no problems. I did not make it to the end though because some other folks said it was too difficult and snowy farther up the trail. Anyway, I enjoyed it.

Yeah that's one of the ones I am considering...without snow I'm sure it is doable. I want a trail that will be fun and a little challenging at times without being just a dirt road (i.e. Herman road).

I've been all over back country roads down there. None real challenging though.

As for the first comment...need I remind you that you had to lift yours 2" just to fit tires that I can fit stock?

And yes, I did say BRO.

There are many side spur trails along the Mt Herman Rd that are fun in a stock 4x4. I am in Monument too, so if you want to go wheelin some time, send me an email. Thanks.

There?s a lot of side trails off of Mt. Herman and Rampart Range. 318, 319, 317, 315, 322, 322B, 323, 324, are just the ones that are near Mt. Herman Road. Most would probably be okay in a stocker, maybe a little on the easy side. 323 is called winding stairs and there is one obstacle that is too hard for a stock rig, unless you have a winch.

I picked up a map from Balanced Rock Bike Shop off of 3rd for a few bucks and it shows most of the trails in the area in good detail and with some short descriptions.

Yeah and an H2 can fit like 33's stock. Do you have a point? :flipoff2:

FS 320C, 314, and 315 are also fun. I started on 320D, but it looked quite difficult - I'm not sure I could have made it past the first boulder.
