My mom is selling her house and moving into a townhouse. I can have some of her furniture. I just have to go get it.
So, i could get a one way ticket to fly to North Carolina, rent a truck and drive back. Cost around $800 pfor 2 plain tickets, $600 one way truck rental and food and hotel costs. Total ~ $2000
My question is: are their any companies thata do small furniture moving for a reasonable cost?

Yes. Do some searching around. I know from NC to here it only cost $150 to have my motorcycle shipped years ago. Im sure the cost has gone up some because of gas prices, but I know you can get everything moved for less than $2000

I have tried a couple of the bigger companies (Van Lines and Two Men and Truck) and have gotten outragous bids. In the range of 3500-4200 bucks.
I am still tring to call other companies.
By the way, who did you use to move your motorcycle?

If I could remember I'd tell ya. That was 7 years ago. I've slept since then. Sorry. It was a NC based company though
