OHH yea, so about 4 weeks ago i was just following traffic on 13th over qubec st. just driving at the next stop light i notice a cop on bike clocking people in the school zone, i wasnt to worried i was following speed of traffic next thing i know the cop waives over the 2 cars in from of me and me and gave all of us speeding tickets, i look at the sign says from 2-4pm it was like 3:55 pm, so im a little irked that id get a ticket in the last 5 minutes of the zone while just following speed of traffic, then it gets worse i did not have current insurance papers in my car, and the cop said i was going 17 over, just frecking great. So yesterday i was looking at my ticket and noticed that the asshat cop put on the ticket the wrong time instead of 3:55 he put on 4:45, i went earlie to court showed proof of INS to the DA he dismissed the ticket and started saying something about getting to the good stuff of speeding in a school zone. Look like he was looking foward to sticking it too me. I told him thats what i wanted to ask him about, he looked kind puzzled like what was i talking about, and i proceed to show him the ticket and time written on said ticket and began to tell him about the school zone signs 6am-9pm and the other 2-4pm sign. I told him id be willing to pay the ticket for 7 over in a 30mph, he sighed and said dismissed, i waited to talk to the judge, he says dismissed, 30 min of court and out in denver. save me like 200.00 OOHHH yea. i hope the cop wrote the all 3 tickets wrong.

Y'know, this one time a friend was walking behind a couple of guys when they went into a store, picked up some money and walked back out. He was just following the flow when he did it too. The a$$wipe cops actually had the nerve to arrest all of them on theft even though my friend was just doin what everyone else was.

Dang cops - what gives them the right to like enforce laws and stuff?

I have no sympathy for cops that cant fill out a small piece of paper ( a paper they use all the time) correctly. I figure he was in too much of rush to write more tickets more then worrying bout the saftey of the kids. And there were 0 kids around anyway. Im not saying its right to speed in the school zone, but come on how high do you have to be to write the ticket time wrong we all know the times for school zone enforcement. he would not even have been there at 4:45pm. And hes really only there to make money for the government. And how do we know he was even using a properly registered laser gun, he did not show me my speed even though i was the last pulled over. I would have taken this one to court just to waste there time due to all the issues i had with the incident. ( he knew i had INS, buy still wrote the ticket, asshat.) FTP :flipoff2: but at least it didnt come to that.

One thing that I have found out over the years of being on this board is that 1) people here are hard on others that do dumb things and post it here. Speeding in a school zone qualifies as a dumb thing. and 2) The people here are very forgiving if, let me stress that word IF, people learn from their mistakes.

I never chastised him for speeding, just for speeding through a school zone and not realizing it was wrong, then insulting the cop, and bragging about ducking the penalty for his own carelessness. I got a ticket in a school zone a while back. I wasn't paying attention, and was going 33. I paid the ticket and have learned my lesson to pay closer attention for school zones. Goin fast through one of those is just plain rock bottom stupid.

Not a hypocrite, just sick and freakin tired of the anti-cop attitude some drivers have, and the incredible lack of responsibilty in the OP.

Ya know, I was thinking about installing a fireman pole in my house but was afraid from downstairs, people would think it was a stripper pole.

I figured ya know...why tote the laundry and myself down the stairs when I can just kick it down the hole and slide down after it?!?!

See, now we're gettin a clearer picture of you. It's all about proper communication. You've obviously got a good grasp of things in the financial realm. You've got a bit of humor in ya, which is good...

But, you've still got no respect for the law, an ego big enough to use as an umbrella when it rains, and a condescending tone about you that would even piss off the pope.

BTW, this is not how I teach my kids... I am the perfect bad example for them - my wife is always saying "Don't do what Dad's doing or you'll get hurt". Then I show 'em the wounds, and they believe her.

Obviously the cop realized what a squared away individual Osirus was and intentionally wrote the wrong time so the ticket would be thrown out.

Whereas, if Osirus had been a renter with loads of credit card debt, the cop would have planted some crystal meth and kiddie porn and executed him on the side of the road.

Forgot the smilies :flipoff2:

No no no.... you turned to quick. You'll loose everyone by changing direction so quick.

First, you gotta focus on the 'cops just makin money' angle. Then mention the funding of the police department.

Then it could flow something like this:

Homeland security .................................... side topic:
pork projects.............................................immigration
dems .vs. reps on pork projects.....................building a wall
the ugly broad's pork record..........................fast food joints
Some Republican's worse pork........................who doesn't eat fast food?
pork is a funny word that used to mean sex......strippers
politicians get sex where?..............................poles
hookers......................................................M&G at a strip club

Ok, the immigration side will get there first. Let's go that way.

Had you not been speeding in the first place (flowing with traffic isn't an excuse BTW), you would not have opened yourself to the opportunity of the cop writing you a ticket. Correctly or incorrectly. You still brought it on yourself by breaking the law. The cop did his job in pulling you over and calling you out on it. Yes he screwed up, but we all screw up at our jobs from time to time. It's being human. In his case, he nullified his ticket. If a doctor screws up somebody dies. Just consider yourself lucky that his error in paperwork wiped out your error in judgment by speeding in a school zone.

If you are going to say the cop had his head up his ass then it could be said you did at the same time too. Had you not had YOUR head up YOUR ass, you might have seen the school speed limit sign and obeyed it.

Yep, but not in a school zone. Some of us are aware of the reasoning behind doubling fines in a school zone and the fact that it's one of LEO's favorite places to bag a speeder. Again, not hard to keep the gov't out of your pockets behind the wheel (yep, I'm saying it again :flipoff2:)

What the hell does the fact that the school zone speed limit ended 5 minutes after your moving violation have to do with anything?

What was the speed limit when you went through the zone?

The fact that the speed limit would have been higher 5 minutes later means nothing. It doesn't matter if it was 5 minutes or 5 hours or 5 seconds.

At the time you went through the speed limit was 20. Period.

It would be one thing to hammer on you for speeding since we've all done it. That would hypocritical. But you are the one that came on here spouting you got caught speeding, got off, still complained about it and posted it all for us to see. For me to be hypocritcal I would have had to done the same thing. Meaning got caught, got out of it on a technicallity and then whined online that I got caught in the first place. I for one wouldn't pull that kind of stunt. I've been caught speeding a couple of times (none in school zone though :flipoff2: ) but I've NEVER once complained in an online forum that the cop was wrong and I was in the right even though I was the one breaking the law. I manned up, paid my fine and moved on, trying to make sure I don't do it again. In the case of both my speeding tickets I was clearly breaking the law and got caught. The cop did his job, wasn't an ass and even told me what I would need to do to get it plead down. I was cool to him and in both cases the cop was cool back.

But you can keep going on your crusade to prove you were the one done wrong here. Say hi to the chinese when you dig all the way through! Bring me back some chinese food too please!

You zap the first one then testify the others were travelling at the same speed in a pack. No direct evidence of the speed for #2 and #3 but circumstantial evidece is good evidence. It's the same principle as in a pace clocking. The officer has no direct evidence of the speed of the car he is pacing. He follows at a steady interval and his speedometer reading is circumstantial evidence of the speed of the vehicle being paced.

If he's using a laser he can clock all 3 directly with 3 pulls of the trigger.

Beating a speeding ticket in a school zone is like running in the Special Olympics. Even if you win you're still retarded. :wtf:

I'm seriously starting to loathe this board....Actually had a crapload of stuff goin' on today, so by the time I find this stupid 4-page thread, I gotta sift through a buncha "my Co-Co Puffs are gettin' soggy" material which has no value whatsoever.....[other than Soundman's pic of Epic Boobs 2.]

well it be a very nice day, thanks for keeping me entertained, id love to stay and chat but i dont feel like staying a work just so we can all make accusations at each other ( specially since your representing (quite well) the hyprocritical society). but id rather go do some grilling and have a nice wheat beer. It's been nice getting to know you all just a little better.

see you tomarrow

OOH

YOU ALL LOSE!!!,

ohh and be safe on the roads, This message is brought to you from you local asshat. ohh and dont forget you are also labling yourselfs everything you called me, you know due to being hyprocritical.

hypocrite's, on this board??!!! the hell you say :D

you should have stood on it instead of pulling over, drove like hell and hid in someones driveway.
then when you came and made a thread about it you'd be a hero instead of some dumb jackass.
