Hi All I'm Rubey's wife and i need some help. A group we are involved with called Citizen Soldier Connection (helps connect Ft Carson soldiers with civillans that want to support them) Is throwing a THANK YOU TO OUR TROOPS picnic for 2500 Ft Carson soldiers and their families on Friday June 13at Iron Horse park at Ft Carson. I have been put in charge of getting volunteers to help run the picnic. I need 60ish volunteers to run games, activities, set up clean up etc. I need volunteers from 9am till 4 or 5pm. The picnic runs from 11am-3pm. If anyone is interested in volunteering or wants more details let me know. Its a great way to help say thanks!

Bump... I am home on leave during that time, and my kids will be up from Tucson, but let me see how things shake out.

I will be working too, about a half mile from where this is going on. I will swing by during my lunch break if I get one on Friday.

Try to contact the Pikes Peak Council of Boy Scouts and see if they can get the word out to Scout Troops or Venture Crews that you need some help. I would think that a scoutmaster would jump at the chance to help the folks at Ft. Carson.

I know this is a friday but my understanding is the soldiers who get to come to the picnic this is the duty station for the day. So its like a reward instead of having to go to work and then come back on a saturday for a picnic. Thanks for the boy scout thought I already have a girl scout troop handing out water. Any other thoughts let me know. I could use the help Thanks
