I am a newb to the RC world. I had a Funrise, but the front axle took a poop. Looking to get a better one.

Be aware of the fact that the ready to run version is NOT the same as the kit. If you are looking at it because you don't want to have to put one together, that's one thing, but if you are thinking that you are going to end up with the same thing for less money, you will be sadly mistaken.

I was looking at both kits too. Found the RTR one has plastic control arms and a 25 turn motor (too fast, not good for crawling). Even though you have to buy more pieces with the kit (electronics) you end up spending less money on a better product. If its putting it together that scares your or you just don't want to do it, it would still be better to pay the guys at whatever hobby shop you get it from to build it for you with the better components.
Just my .02 that i found out during my research.

Yeah I was worried about putting it together. I didn't realize the differences were that big. I guess I need to have someone build it for me.
Thanks!

I love building rc's. If you buy one, I'll build it for you for free. Putting them together is just as much fun as running them.

The RTR is still great for a first time crawler. I say go for it. If you decide you want to get more serious you can always upgrade the parts. Plus to really make it comp worthy you can get the CKRC Stage 2 kit.
This show the differences, not really that much.
