FLATIRON FAB

My Jeep recently got a little make over, as we rebuilt it to compete in W.E. Rock's Stock Mod class and are ready to hit the trails with the bigger boys!
We started with a new cage, then threw new axles and custom 4links under it, and did all the little preps to get it ready for comp, as well as added some protection and style! It now has a HP Dana 44 up front with Crane knuckles and diff cover, superior alxes with CTM's , 4.56's and an ARB, as well as a Redneck Ram hydro assist steering setup. The rear is a Currie 9" with ARB and 4.56's, and was redrilled to 6 lug to match the front. The links are 1.5" .250 wall DOM sleeved with 1.75" .120 for the lowers and 1.5" .250 DOM for the uppers with 3/4 by 3/4 hiems all around. It's a three link front with a panhard and triangulated four link for the rear. 14" coilover air shocks hold up the front (62# over 85# springrates) and 4" TJ coils in the back. The wheelbase was stretched to just under the class limit and now sits at 96". We built tube fenders for the front and tied them into the front hoop for added support. Prototype polystrand rear corner gaurds and roof panels are being used as we are testing their limits and strengths. We got new Baja SS seats from Off Road Warehouse and a 5 gallon fuel cell compliments of Weston Blackie. Thanks to Driveline Specialists, the Jeep has a pair of custom HD driveshafts with 1310s at the Tcase and 1350s at the axles, and 2 complete spares. A brand new set of 35x12.50r17 Maxxis Trepadors on Allied beadlocks wrap the package up.

The Jeep did very well, and finished both days. On the first course we had fuel pump issues which caused us to time out, on the second course the front Ujoint straps broke and the last two we timed out. On the second day, after driving it around to check out the courses, the fuel pump went out all together which caused us to miss the first two courses as we searched all over town for a new one, but we made it to the third course and finished up well, which was all I really wanted for the day.
As it was my girlfriend/spotter's birthday and our first completed course, I proposed to her and shocked the hell out of her. (she said yes!) The weekend was a blast even with the small delays, but we were glad to have finished both days and some how got 9th out 10! We're rookies now, but we're here to have fun and learn the car and plan to eventually take over the class! :D
*Other than the cage, which we did the same time as Lubes', the STAK Tcase that was previously in it, and the front winch and bumper (also already on the Jeep), we did this build in a matter of FOUR [very sleepless] days, with the help of 2 of our good friends and a LOT of caffeine drinks. We were very happy with how it turned out and only have a few little bugs to work out of the whole car. Thank you SO much Josh and Jason, for all of your help and sacrificed sleep!
