Why WHy WHY

Must companies hire non english speaking idiots and give them a job using a *^&ing PHONE all day for chirsts sake.

I have to answer 5-10 sales calls per day. %75 of those idots are callling from over sea's. So some idiot who barely speaks the most rudimentary english is now making calls ALL day. Who's forking brillant idea was this? Give them a mop and tell them to clean up the hallways until they learn to speak english and hire an AMERICAN.

I was wondering what this had to do with Soylent Green. I won't use help desks based in India any longer. I just can't understand them. Companies are starting to realize these are starting to cost the business, so I think more are coming back to the U.S. thankfully.

You know what is interesting. Next time you have software or hardware to purchase (I mean big $$$ stuff) Ask the sales rep for the number to his tech support. He will no doubt ask you why. You then say that you are going to call it to see if the people who work the desk speak english and can support the product or just read the checklist. In my last job we were looking to purchase a powerful backup software and pay for top end tech support. We got it down to two companies. I did this, and the one we wanted to go with lost just because thier tech support was based in India. The sales guy was not happy. But we had had this problem with out previous backup software.

Try, like, trying to, like, I don't know, speak with a like, college kid today? I, like, almost always have to like, ask them to like, repeat themselves?

Yet I can communicate a lot easier with the hispanics who don't know but 5 english words.

I was working on a drilling rig outside of Naturita, CO and we had a floor hand that could barely speak english. I know a little spanish and was trying to tell him what was on our s@#t list and how I wanted it done. The driller turned to me and said, "If he can't do his job in english he can head for the house! This company is paying him in dollars, not pesos! I though that it was a good point and it quickly turned out that the guy new a lot more english than he was letting on. Lousy hand wasn't getting jack s#$t done because he didn't know what was being said, he just wanted a frickin hand out.
