I have just invested a good amount of cash into my Suzuki Samurai and I'd like to try it out. Thing is, I don't want to drive it hundreds of miles to play. I was hoping someone would know of somewhere close to Sterling that someone might be able to do some mild wheeling.

I need to get a trailer damnit

I'd think CORE is the closest decent wheeling.

um, in short, NO.

Your best bet is to find some private land owners who are friendly to wheelers.

You could go to the Bijou in Fort Morgan but that's not strictly legal.

If you go to Lake Mac - don't be driving on the sand cliffs - very expensive ticket for that;)

IMHO your nearest public wheeling worth driving too is Carnage Boulder. Loads of fun for stock and built sammis:thumbsup:

There are some dirt two-tracks in the Pawnee Grasslands northwest of Sterling. All very easy but at least they're dirt.

You'll have to do a little research but there is some pretty darn good wheeling up by Peetz. A buddy of mine and his friends go there. It's good enough to roll a jeep  . I'm pretty sure it's private property so be sure to find out who's it is and tread lightly so it remains avaliable for use.
