Wasn't until Mid June last year that it was in good shape and even still there were some small snow drifts on the narrow sections.

went up there saturday, tried moffat pass and got ~20 30 feet before i couldn't go further. I would say mid May it will be passable about halfway up until you hit the major snow drift that sits til june every year.

Mamoth gulch road was pretty icy and some drifts give it a month, and kingston pass won't be passable til Mid to late June.

my 2 cents

We ran it first week of July last year. It looked pretty good til we got to the last hill. I couldnt believe I was shoveling snow in July worst, this was at 2am since we had decided to do a night run.

Hey, if any of you crazy snow-lovin' fellers do Jenny Creek, do be aware of the new post and cable near the top to keep folks ON the trail. If the snow is deep enough, they will be buried - and cause damage to your rig, and/or be damaged by your rig despite your best intentions.

There is a new winch point on the top of the rock above the drift. Hint.

No that was Scottycards, that punctured his oil pan on in it and, oops I had JB weld in the jeep that day.

No Scotty had electrical problems, but some one else didnt see the poles covered by the snow and got his axel stuck.

Yes, Scott had electrical problems, but he got stuck on the pole first.

Yeah there were 3 Scotts on that trip, Scott whose Battery shorted and I had to jump him 2-3x, Scott who got stuck on the pole, punctured his oil pan and than had electrical problems after he winched across the snowfield and Scott aka Gunter who had the silver TJ and his sons along.
