Seriously. I have thrown up over games. (and not always from too much Old Style!)

Nice scorecard!

Last night's game was sweeeet!

Gotta say though, I've been going to Rockies games for few years now and almost every game when Cubs are here. This was my first game at Coors this year and wow did last year really bring out the bandwagon fans. It's quite humorus to hear them.

Today will sweep the series!!

Anyone going?

I'm going, this will be my first game this year also. My dad and I go to all the Cubs vs. rockies games. He was born and raised in chicago so I grew up watching the games. I was out of town for yesterdays.

So this maybe a new thread all together but..... If the Rockies are your favorite team because they are the home team, and you wern't born before the team was a team, who was your original favorite team?

Mine is the Cubs. Rockies are second favorite team so when they play each other I root for the Cubbies.

I moved around a bit, lived in St. Louis, Maryland, CA, and now here... I pull for Rockies first, as the home team, but I also like the A's, O's, and cards, to a lesser extent. I think it's fair to like an american league team and a national league team.

My favorite team will (obviously) always be Milwaukee. I was born and raised in Milwaukee proper, and my favorite childhood memories are going to games there with my dad.

I have "Extra Innings" on DirecTV, so, I don't watch the Rockies very often, since I get nearly all the Brewers' games. :)

That said, since I live here now, I've sort of "adopted" the Rockies (and Broncos), and wish them all the best, except when they play or could impact Milwaukee (or Green Bay). When I lived in South Carolina, I followed the minor league team. :) It is only natural.

Broncos/Packers is AFC/NFC, so that's fine.
Rockies/Brewers are both NL, but play 6x/year, and aren't in the same division. That's fine by me. :)

(Since WI doesn't have hockey, except college, I was sort of a Red Wings fan, because of Chelios, and various other miscellaneous reasons. I have since dropped that, and am solidly on the Avalanche bandwagon. This is the only Colorado team I consider my "favorite" team in the sport). :D

Incidentally, I'll be at Wrigley for 2 games next week when Milwaukee rolls into town. Of course, as is always my luck, Milwaukee is cold right now, and Chicago is hot. Oh well. :)

Rockpile wasn't the issue...I love the Rockpile, my arse doesn't.

I'll never go see another Rockies v. Cubs in the Rockpile. I don't know if anyone knows this...but the arseholes that fly from Chicago to Denver for the game need to realize they aren't in Chicago and learn to shut their cakeholes  When I go see a Rockies game in another city, I wear my hat, watch the game, and am respectful...I don't try to start shat. Watched a belligerent Cubs fan get escorted out of the stadium, and plenty more try to start shat with some Rockies fans. Made the game a smidge less enjoyable

Ideally, you'd want to outnumber them....

I'm probably about to take some flack for this..... But Rockies fans dont know what it's about, when it comes to good old fashioned baseball. After Numerous Dodger v. Angels games where I've been in fights, Numerous Brewers v. White Sox v. Cubs v. Tigers rivalries....

Hell it was NOT normal if you didnt get into at least a shouting match.....

I don't know, I guess the fans are as much of the experience as the game is.

Buy better seats next time. Cubs fans are used to going violent on someone, especially knowing where you are NOT about to loose a $40+ dollar seat over it.

Haha, the sausages are hilarious! I remember the first time I saw a brewers game(it was at the new Miller stadium). I was all "WTF are weiners running a lap around the field for?!?!?!"

I always try to catch a baseball game when I?m in another town. Last year I caught Yankees v. Red Sox at Fenway and the Yankee fans weren?t that bad, a Red Sox fan did threaten to punch a ~8 year old kid, but it was relatively tame. Last week though I was at Yankees v. Orioles at Camden yards, and the Yankee fans were absolutely intolerable. I?d imagine the cubs fans weren?t different, it seems like annoying people are worse when they?re the away team and they out number the home team fans. I don't mind fair weather rockies fans, the more the merrier. A game in the east is a completely different experience than one out here, or CA, or Arizona? from my experiences. It just seems more people are into the games out there.

It actually started off as a "scoreboard race."
It just sort of snowballed from there.
(I always cheer for the #1 Brat, btw) :D

-I'm hoping some time in the future, the hog races on harleys actually occurs in real life here at Coors.

I'll say this: Wrigleyville is fawking cool. EVERY team should have that sort of environment at home. UNBELIEVABLE support in the 4-5 block radius surrounding the stadium and I've never seen so much merchandise for sale. Interestingly it is 100% cubs stuff. You could not find another object to buy of another team if your life depended on it. That's cool.

It seems like that's becoming more true these days at the stadiums (I was at Miller Park shop yesterday, and end of last year for Coors) where you can only get that team's stuff, but this blows anything I've seen away in terms of that.

I was less impressed with the facilities themselves than the environment. :)

One other "surprise" was what a buddy told me. He said that cubs fans in Milwaukee and Coors, etc, were NOT like the cubs fans at Wrigley. He said the cubs fans there would be very gracious, and I found that to be quite true. :)

There was a little back and forth, but very civil. A few guys were hilarious. I've read stories saying the opposite, and then I mentioned the garbage at Braun thing, but in the 2 days I was there, I was impressed.
