Nevermind i gave it one more college try and the threads match. So now i guess i can get back to bragging.
Long story short.
I bought a 1987 Chevy Jamee 24' Class C RV from my a neighbor for 500 bucks 88k miles. It needed the emission heat riser tube replaced, no big deal and it actually came with the new part. I Installed the new part and put the exhaust manifold on the RV....well it turns out the part that the heat riser connects to next does not fit, the threads are way different. Let me add that this RV is in good to very good shape, everything works AC, generator, stove, shower, toilet, sleeps 6, furnace.
Here are my options.
Bypass the emission portion and list the RV that it will not pass emissions for 1.5-2k
Take the manifold off and attempt to weld the 2 parts together(decent amount of work) and still not guarnteed to pass emissions.
Try to get the correct part from GM(Yeah right)
Part it out (not likely)
Any thoughts?????
Heck i dont even know if emissions are required on an RV....this thing has 2 emission air pumps. One should be good right???? not really
All im wanting to do is make a little cash to help fund the cab over popup.
Thanks
Orion
