Was wondering whats up w/ Slaughterhouse. Drove by today past the trailhead to the gate and a sign said closed due to wet conditions. Anybody know if it would be open by this weekend?
thanks

Shouldn't you put a distributer in your Jeepthing before you ask stoopid questions? :flipoff2:

I was at Slaughter yesterday as well. I don't recall it being closed any previouse Springs. Then I drove up to Harris Park and found the same situation. I know that the GO4's have adopted that trial. Do any of you know when it is expected to reopen. looks to me like more FS/BS to keep Us Americans from using our National Forest Land. I wonder if they plan on closing it every time it rains?

Last time I was up there, I thought it was getting kind of torn up myself with people driving off trail around snow, people trying to drive up stump hill in the snow, people tearing up the side of the trail when they slid off in the snow, people in the mud pits. While I hate to see something closed temporarily, I'd much rather them close it when it is getting damaged and open it later than close it for good, which it has been very close to.
