Turning off Demo Mode on Sony Deck

Okay, so I've read the manual twice and the only thing it says to turn off demo mode on my stereo is to press the reset button, but that doesn't do anything but reset the stereo. I've been attempting to google the solution but can't find one. The deck is a Sony CDX-GT520. Anybody here to alot of installs and know what I can try?

Press and hold select untill u get a menu. then tap select to scroll through the different items in the menu. find demo and turn wheel to get to off

Yup. Have to do it in the waggy, on the reg, due to a master battery switch everytime I drive it.

Hmm, I've looked through the menu's maybe I've missed it.

Is there a menu item under the first labeled setup? It should be in there

if you just push and release select you get one set of menus but if you push and hold select you get a different set of menus.

the menu you need should be under the push and hold select.

Oh I see hold the button longer gotcha. Thanks! Time to go fiddle with it before my exam, and oh no pun intended.

Sometimes you have to do it with the deck 'off' and just showing the time, too.
