I believe this is near the Metberry Gulch area (SW of Sedalia), which is open.

On Trail Damage, it says the 4x4 season start in April for this trail. I know someone tried to run it around January and it was gated, just wondering if they have opened it up!

Hidden Valley Road Trail Map (http://www.traildamage.com/trails/index.php?id=201)

This trail I believe connects with Dakan and Rampart Range.

I'm sure we would be down to tackle it one night this week if you want to. I'm curious to see first hand what the run off has done this year.

That washout was getting pretty gnarly the end of last year. Probably be even worse now.

Nope, the gate just past the water crossing was closed/locked on Friday.

open, and pretty washed out, be prepared for pucker factor when climbing through. it was a little too much for my stock jk unlimited rubicon today. I turned around and lived to wheel another day just before the second nasty washed out section. Not really sure how much further I could have leaned the jeep without flopping over. had a rear wheel lift a few times on the way back down.

take some one with you to keep you out of trouble.

We took our H3 and TJ through it (both modified) in September and it was pretty washed out then.. I'm really anxious to see how much worse it is now!

Thanks for the report

We ran it today with 3 Isuzu Rodeos. Mine (3" lift, 32" BFGs, open front, locked rear), Mikes (3" lift, 32" BFGs, open front, LSD rear), and Jeffs (3" lift, 30" street tires, open front, LSD rear) and all made it through with no strapping or damage. The washout doesnt look to be as bad this year. With a few tries and picking the right line and some spotting it wasnt too bad. Last year we turned around at the wash out cuz it looked pretty bad.

When we went through the stream crossing at the private bridge the old woman that lives right there was standing at the end of the drive. I waived and she waived back, then yelled at Jeff (2nd vehicle) to go back. Maybe she didnt think he could make it LOL.

We've done it a couple of times this year and it is nothing like it was last year.

Still fun, but not nearly as technical. We got a stock ZJ through and a stock 4Runner.

Post pics if you took them!

I live in castle rock and can go on Sunday if anyone still wants to go, It is better now I think than it was at the end of last year. I would prefer to do it in the morning. Have a jeep, winch and straps if you want take the hard lines, that is what I tried last time and had to winch. maybe next time no winch.
