is red elephant hill/empire loop passable yet

Does anyone know the condition of red elephant hill/ empire hill? It is a little passed Idaho Springs going west. Is there snow or ice on the trail? Is the cabin open?

I'd say for certain that there is the highest likelyhood that there is still several feet of snow up there.
