Josh heard a rumor that the Fat Tire may return under new hosts this year.
Any truth to this? Any details?
I've never ridden it, what's it like?

Yeah, it's a great ride.
I got an email with the new logo. It is NOT red cross anymore. It IS still going to be at WP. Depending on potential surgery, etc, I anticipate being there. :) Yota, you should too. :D
Pictures.....all over the web. I don't have any myself. Too bad, I took a sweet digger there on one trail.

That would be cool - my only issue with it is I thought it was uber expensive to enter...

I don't recall the cost, but they do feed you 3 meals/day.
It ain't bad food either. :)
NB provides  of course. :D
No idea if that is to continue or not.

Anything and everything. All levels of trails and multiple, multiple loops. You can ride as little or as much as you want, and the loops converge on aid stations where they had water, sports drink, cut up fruit :) and larabars. Usually music and bike mechanics too.
You could make it super technical or a fitness challenge in terms of distance, or just have a nice relaxing ride. I'm assuming if we go, given the crew we'd be with, the latter would be the order of the weekend. :)

Yeah I'd be all about a relaxing ride. Well not relaxing to the point of boredom but just a good cardio workout.
That said, I'm still fat. So I need to get my arse in gear. You having knee surgery?

Yeah, I definitely am.
It's scheduled for May 28th. They told me to take 5 days off work and plan on being down 10-14.
This is June 27-29. It'll be tough to rehab by then, but cycling should be fine. Are we BBQ'ing soon? If not *very* soon, we should make plans.
My two June tris are almost certainly out. Well, the HR one DEFINITELY is. I'll be lucky to be walking at that one, but I'm coming down to watch.

Well SOB man, I'm sorry to hear that. :o I'm out of town, well, almost all of May , but back in time to come drink beer while you recover.
I'm way out of shape to try any actual riding, but I'm self-inviting to the Yota/JnSch pre-BBQ.

Yeah don't we have a thing at the Klockars or something soon?
Well crap, dude. But yeah the surgery should help a lot. My bro had Arthur O. Scopic surgery to repair his ACL and it helped him a TON. He now rides in the MS150 every year.
I should take advantage of your down time to get my butt in better shape so I can keep up when you're better. Who am I kidding? :D I have yet to even get my bike out of the garage so far.

Sorry I saw that but forgot to respond. Jacob has been way sick (better now, tho).
It's amazing you'll only be down 10 to 14 days for knee surgery.
OK as soon as it warms up again after tomorrow's storm I'm getting out the bike. Pinky swear this time. :)

Storm? There's a storm coming? Good thing I'm sunburned from hanging out in the ocean all day drinking rum :flipoff2:
Seriously though, I can't wait till Gigantor is hobbling around ;)
