So, I've been messing around with a Wheely King for a while now, and have reached its limitations. Not a bad platform to start with, but even with all the good stuff in it, still not comp worthy.

I've got a set of Axial axles, and a blackjack chassis waiting for me, to which I'm going to add a Novak Goat, 2-cell Thunder power Lipo, MIP CVD's, Visionary Fabrication disconnect with an AX10 tranny, rear upgraded straight shafts w/ steering lock-out.

The suspension is going to be a front droop, w/ standard rear. Not sure how I'm going to make that work on the blackjack, but it works really well on my buddy's fat-dog tuber. The main issue is, the shock mounts on the fat dog are much lower in the front than the back, so the rig sits level. My blackjack is probably going to have quite a lot of rake to it since it sits level to begin with.

I haven't decided on wheels yet, but it seems that every week somebody is coming out with a bad-ass set of wheels. Thow out some suggestions! I'm definitely going with memory foam, and I've got a set of M3 compound Mashers that I love.

Pics to follow when the build begins!

do you want nylon or aluminum wheels? I really like the axial beadlocks.

I've got two sets of Axial beadlocks now, one standard, one set narrowed. I'm looking for aluminum. There are some new ones I've seen with large ball-bearings in them for weight, and another one with aluminum slugs you can remove if you don't want so much weight.

I'm gonna try to get a set of these: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=106544

I was looking at a set of these too: http://www.rccrawler.com/forum/showthread.php?t=112618

But, the Mayhems are half the cost!
