View Full Version : Nice people up north!

Over the past two days, we've spent some serious time at a hospital in Loveland. I must say that Medical Center of the Rockies has THE best people that I've ever experienced in a hospital. Hands down, the most considerate, on the ball, intelligent, and helpful people. Not to mention its a gorgeous new hospital. If we even looked like we had a question, someone would appear and ask us if we needed anything. Seriously.

During this little adventure, we also had to run through Cheyenne to take the patient (my uncle) home to Carpenter, WY. So we stopped at the Kings there to fill prescriptions and they too were SO nice! Of course, this isn't much of a surprise because everytime we go to the Cheyenne area, the people are wonderful.

What makes me sad is that obviously I'm either surrounded by a lot of a-holes, or the Denver area is just teeming with a-holes that are attracted to me/my car/every store I shop in/etc.

Interesting indeed.

Seriously you think Denver is full of a holes go to the east coast. Arrogant rude people. Especially New Yorkers.

While I agree that Medical Center of the Rockies is a nice facility, I dare say it's TOO nice, and contributing to exorbitant health care costs. 42" Plasma TV's in each room? Surf the web from your hospital bed? Terrazo floors? Vaulted lobby? Fireplaces?Come on.

You don't want to know (and I can't disclose) what they've spent on their boardrooms/video conferencing setups...throughout the Poudre Valley Health system. However, the video conferencing technology actually saves money on mileage traveling between the sites, wear and tear on vehicles, etc...not to mention the time it saves replacing face to face meetings between the different sites. Having worked with the non-medical staff at Poudre Valley Health, I have to agree with Rebel's assessment

Why do you need to see who you're talking to?

Anyone who's had an even remotely long stay in a hospital might disagree with you.
