Forgot one other item worth mentioning. Today's Active Topics (http://www.colorado4x4.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_daily) summary should no longer expire at midnight as it has done in the past. It should now be on a revolving 24 hour window.

why can we only see the open topics from the last day? My settings are all topics for the last 30 days.

We've upgraded our bulletin board software. Most of the changes will be transparent to you, however one notable change that you should notice is the new Member Directory (http://www.colorado4x4.org/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=directory) (links up top and in the navigation menu on the left). This directory is also now accessible only to registered members which is something I've been after for a long time (IMO if you're not a member here, you have no business seeing who is). The rest, as I said, should be mostly transparent.

One notable bug that supposedly has been fixed (and I haven't confirmed this yet) was the annoying lower-case file extension bug for avatars. Previously your filename had to end with "jpg" or "gif" and "JPG" or "GIF" or any other variation with a capital letter wouldn't work. Hopefully that's now a thing of the past smile.gif

Not all of our add-on features are integrated in the released software yet so if you see something missing please be patient and I should get things back to normal (and hopefully better) soon. If significant time goes by and you still see something missing please let me know. If you encounter any problems (broken links, etc.) please contact me. Thank you!

I don't see how to know when you get a PM. Luckily I have it set to email me or I'd have never known. Before it showed you in the upper left under the Hello message, but apparantly not any more. I didn't particularly like that setup before because I almost never noticed when I had a PM. On one of the older versions of the software we used to get a pop up window when there was a new PM, I thought that was ideal.

This is a feature that has been sorely missing from the BB software for quite some time now. They finally integrated private messages but left out the key part about actually informing you that you have a private message  The only option out of the box, as you pointed out, is email notification which many people don't use (myself included). There is, however, an add-on available which places PM notification on the main forum summary as you described. Since we upgraded the BB software I simply needed to go back and reinstall this third party add-on. Sorry for the delay, I just got to it tonight. It's not the popup you describe, but better than the nothing it comes with. graemlins/beer.gif
