Is the whole city obsessed with wheeling? Was up there yesterday to visit CSU and daaaaaamn there were a lot of rigs that looked like they actually got use unlike the ones where I live. Not to mention there was a M&G advertised on a pillar outside the university student center for all wheelers. If the city really does love its 4-wheeling my choice between FoCo and Boulder could already be made. :D

There are a lot of rigs here in B-town as well. And the chicks are hotter because they go to CU.

That was me that made the flyer, I'll be taking over president this next semester of CSU Big Wheels. If you saw a white XJ on 35's with a bit of body damage and a missing rear quarter window...thats mine :D

I have it nice because I live right between both & since I just get to look (married & an old man:D ) they are both good. :D
When I used to deliver cabinets in Boulder back in the day I never liked Boulder, but now I kind of like it. I get to be there today in fact, to bad the weather wasn't a little better. ;)

Even the ugly ones think they are all that, stay away from that place.
As for the town of Ft. Fun.
Yeah, there are a lot of people who wheel up there, at the campus has a fairly decent size 4x4 club I think they are called "CSU Big Wheels"
It is not too far from some decent trails too.
Might I also mention that the city which CRACK UNIVERSITY is in, with their bi-anual riot, is really stuck on itself as well. I mean, $1500 for a two bedroom apartment? Are you kidding me?
OH and no pink dogs! haha

Sheesh shoulda known this would turn into a battle over who has the hawter chicas.
I keep leaning more and more towards CSU, but I just can't make up my damn mind! I'm running out of time so I guess I better decide though. :(
EDIT: I should mention that after visiting both colleges, I have to give the better wimminz award to CSU. Sorry Boulder guys. :flipoff2:

Just remember that Boulder County is 741 square miles surrounded by reality.
I am a CSU grad who can atest to the fact the wymons are hot up there. Just go and hang out on the plaza on a warm afternoon! I was also accepted to CU, but after driving through the campus I decided it wasn't even worth my time to get out of the car!

Headed to Old Town tonight myself, gonna be a bit of eyecandy out there tonight and tomorrow night...:D

Ok, so that's decided. What are you going to be studying? You'll find that pretty much all of colleges of both universities are essentially the same, and tuition here is considerably cheaper. That, coupled with the city being way cooler and the people being more down to earth, made my decision for me. If you ever want a tour or anything, let me know.

what do you want to study? Any idea what you want to major in? I know it's a crazy thought but you might to look at the college you will be in at each university and decide which would be better for you!:flipoff2:

Already been through that. Had another thread about that, too.  It's definitely gonna be engineering, and I'm thinking mechanical. I know Boulder is more known for its aerospace program, but it seems the rest of the engineering programs are near identical between schools.
Oh and btw, this thread was started just to ask about how popular wheeling was in Fort Collins and turned into this battle of schools. :)

well you knew that would happen!
so, ya to answer the question: wheeling is very popular with the FoCo crowd and the various alums and employees surrounding the area.

It is not too far from some decent trails too. hmmm... boulder has carnage, lhc, st vrain, coney flats, eldorado mtn, jenny creek, etc pretty close by...
Might I also mention that the city which CRACK UNIVERSITY is in, with their bi-anual riot, is really stuck on itself as well. I mean, $1500 for a two bedroom apartment? Are you kidding me? what does this REALLY have to do with the university? yes... $1500, most of those are also furnished for 4 people (odd, considering boulder's residency laws, but...) meaning that the price just dropped to less than $400 per person. wait a tic... you're complaining about $1500 for a two-bdrm apt in a beautiful city with a very accomplished university and you're from ASPEN???
OH and no pink dogs! haha

i also went the engineering route. I started at CU, couldnt stand it. Ended up at CSU, absolutely loved it. Met up with the BigWheels folks my second year there and had an even better time. My core group of friends is mainly old school BigWheels people.
I had no complaints about the CSU ladies, but most of the CU ones I encountered were full of themselves.
