So I'm in the midst of a nice little cough/cold/flu thing I've had for about the past week and the cough is staying around. This is also the first time I've really had a cough since I quit smoking a little over a year ago.

BLECH. Fawkin disgusting.

I've been over the cold for like two weeks, and the coughing is STILL hanging around. It makes it tough to sleep, for sure.

Nyquil and Dayquil seem to help.

It took me 4 1/2 weeks to get rid of the phlem in my throat. I had a cough and a raspy voice for that long. I had not been sick in years and it is very frustrating to be on a conference call with a client when nobody can understand you with your squeeky, raspy voice.

Nothing I took did anything at all for it, including maximum strength mucenix.

This same plague has hit our house too. My wife has had that cough literally for a month now. I'd say it's been productive only about 25% of that time and the rest of the time it's just been a dry useless hack.

For me, it's been off and on but not as bad as my wife's.

And my 20-month-old son has had a bit of it too but he's already over his illness and back to normal.

My wife works at Kaiser and says that this crud has been rampant this winter.

My work doesn't distinguish between PTO and sick days so everyone comes in sick instead of taking vacation days (including myself). As a result the entire company has been sick on and off for the past 2 months. It has been around here so much I have gotten it twice. Although this second time it isn't nearly as bad as the first time.

My last job gave us as much sick time as we wanted...worked out great.

Well I've washed enough of the junk down the sink in the past few weeks to fuel my Jeep for months....sounds promising. :D

As discussed in the Pepper Spray thread - CS will clear that crap outta your head in a heartbeat! I think my entire platoon had shared the lung crud for weeks when we got to the gas chamber. After draining ten pounds of crap outta my head, I could breathe for the first time...

All ya gotta do is tough it out until August. If Hillary hasn't pulled out of the racr by then, I have no doubt there will be the sweet smell of CS wafting over LoDo when "recreate 68" and all the other whackos have their way..

Try Maximum Strength Mucinex...the guys here recomended it to me when i had some crap in my throat that wouldnt go away. Started taking that stuff and within a day i coughed up some of the nastiest crap youve ever seen!! :eek:
