Got a close up of an R8 last night

Last night on my way home, going up Alameda on Green Mountain, there is a brand new Audi R8 in the right lane with temp tags. As we approach the light, he decides that he is going to go into the left turn lane right in front of my truck, since I'm in the left lane. Had I not hit the brakes, I would have had him hung from the hook on the front of my truck. I did think about seeing what it looked like after a crash test :D

Wonder how long before we read about this guy smooshing this thing up somewhere because he can't drive?

It is too bad he wasn't going from left to right instead. Their windows were down and then I could have given his new car a great new scent courtesy of my pipe on the passenger side of my truck and a little application of the throttle as I went by :evil: I was only able to blow the horn at him and make mean faces :D

I saw an R8 when I was in West Palm Beach a few weeks ago, but I also saw umpteen numbers of Ferraris, Lamborginis, Porcshes, Aston Martins, Maybachs and every freaking super car known to man.

We were approaching a red light and his line was longer than mine so, we were slowing down and I was already watching him. He waited way to long to yank it in front of me and then went all the way over the left turn lane, across the lane I was in. Getting in the gas would have been bad here as we were surrounded by cars sitting still but, making his move a bit earlier would have prevented it being so close. Had I not have already had my foot on the brake, clutch, and pulling on the exhaust brake, slowing the truck down, I might not have been able to prevent it.
