So I get a message this morning from the owner of a storage property where I keep my truck camper. She said that my camper had "fallen over" and damaged another person's travel trailer that was kept right behind mine. She leaves me the telephone number of the other owner. I drive to the scene and indeed find my camper had fallen and crashed into the trailer.
Here's the problem...
My camper is parked in a spot that puts it on the inside corner of the main access road around the lot. There is a NEW dent on the front driver side corner and it is pushed back (towards the other damaged rig) roughly 3 ft.
Anyone here that owns a small truck camper should be aware that cabover campers are almost always nose heavy and can often lift one of their rear legs off the ground when loading or unloading. I purchased this camper 4 months ago and had a shop repair and exam the legs. This was not caused by faulty storage or equipment on my part. Not to mention the bottom of the camper was stored so that it was only about 10" to a foot off the ground. So it would have been impossible for it to just "fall" almost three linear feet straight back to where it made contact with the other trailer.
The owner of the trailer examined the scene with me and completely agrees that my camper was hit and pushed back into his vehicle. I'll attach a sketch as a visual aid.
The black lines on the right or "after" picture show how the camper legs were bent.

We signed a contract when we dropped of the camper that said the property owner isn't responsible for damage, but our combined repairs are probably worth over 1,000 dollars and im most worried about the other owner coming after me. What would you guys do?
Thanks
