WooooHooooo..........I just got one as part of a bonus at work.
I think Brian just got tired of me messing with his all the time & figured it would be worth his money to buy me one of my own. :o

I didn't even bring it home with me tonight because I knew that I would stay up all night putting it together. I probably should have brought it home because now I'm just going to stay up thinking about putting it together & the mods I want to do to it.

Been too busy to work on the Scopian much but here's a couple of pics where I'm at. I basically built the chassis stock just to get it together, then took it back apart for mods. As of now, I have bent the LCRs to 30*, cut out the bellypan & moved the LCRs to the inside of the framerails, countersunk the framerail & used countersunk screws to mount the LCRs & springs so that now there is nothing sticking out along the framerails. Also used spacers on the LCRs to extend the leangth to get back to the correct wheelbase after bending them.
I also took the shocks back apart & put a spacer inside to somewhat limit droop as well as went to the "red" supersoft springs.

THat's bad ass. I wan't one bad. But I also want to go brushless in my Rustler and make that truck fly low too. If I could only pry our tax refund out of my wifes hands I could do both! Pretty killer so far. What do you plan on running for motor and esc?

I thought I saw one at R/C Hobbies in Thorton. Or at least they had parts for them and could order a kit or RTR version for you.

They are $260ish I think at FinishlineRC. Last week he only had a couple of them left though. Not sure what his stock is like now. If you call him, tell Dan that Allen at Hillside sent ya & maybe he'll raise the price for you. :D
Seriously, he has tons more support for RC crawlers, pullers, & scailers than anybody else in town that I know of since that what he specializes in.

Running 55 wind $19 motor. No need to go with a big money motor on a crawler. Running a Rooster Crawler ESC & wouldn't recommend anything less. You need the automatic braking if you are going to do comp at all.
I've also changed tires since the last post. Helpfull hint: don't even bother mounting the tires that come with the kit as you will soon, as in the next day, be buying different ones & it takes a  per wheel to dismount & remount.

Brian just installed the new DIG setup on his today & it's really cool but there is a lot of small shat you have to do extra to get it to fit if you have your LCRs moved inside of the frame rails. I'm going to get one in the next week or two so I'll post pics.

Dig? What is it? Is it a disconnect on the drivelines to allow one end pull? Sounds cool!

Yup. It actually has three positions but I don't know how you can use all three unless you use a stick controller which I hate. The Dig lets you have the option of front & rear locked which is the normal drive, front locked with the rear wheels loose, as in they will still roll but with no power, or front locked with the rear wheels unable to roll.
I didn't think the FWD Dig would be worth having till I saw it in action a few times. Not only are the dig turns handy in some places, but if you have the rig standing pretty much on end, but can't get the suspension to relax to let the right side wheel down so it can help get you up a rock, you can switch to the dig mode just for a second which will unload the suspension & let all four wheels hit the ground again.
Botom line is it's kewl & I gotta have it.
PS. From what I've seen/read, most people are just not using the front dig, rear wheels locked segment of it with the typial 3 channel radio.

I finally got around to putting a body on it Friday night. The only thing I have left to do, hopefully, is the dig setup. It seems to work great the way it's set up now. Probably won't be saying that after the first comp. I enter with it though.....:o
