Well, I sold the Raptor and purchased a YZ-450F. Holy Crap those are fast. I can pull the front wheel up in any gear. Very impressed.

Now for the bad. I haven't owned a Dirt bike in a few years...so today was a hard day of learning in Texas Creek. The suspension isn't set up very well for trail riding or cornering in sandy pea gravel. So I took 2 diggers today. I also remember what those darn pads are for in my riding pants that I so conveniently removed last year.

So it will be a learning curve again on teaching me how to turn a 4 stroke on these trail situations. Gearing down will help a lot for sure as well. So the suspension will have to be adjusted. I was out at PMI yesterday and I couldn't even bottom out the suspension...so I would say it is a little stiff. I sill had 4.3" left of downward travel.

What are you guys running for the main, needle position, pilot in the carbs?

Have you been out lately with the Predy?

what texas creek like I rode it 2 weeks ago on my crf250r and there was a lot of snow still. It made for some very interesting riding.

Snow wasn't too bad when we got there. It started to snow hard around noon. I will most likely check it out again this next Sunday since I will be in the area.

Well in my spare time these past few days...I tuned the suspension in the garage. I have to admit....compacency got me. The settings on the forks and shock were way out of wack. I figured that the tire pressure was no more than 15psi (standard riding pressure, I like 13 myself). So I checked it today...26 psi. So I ate a big bowl of dumbass for breakfast due to not checking the bike before I took it on the first ride. Now I know why it was washing out in the corners and didn't want to stay on the trails. Lessons learned on checking everything before each ride.

Nah, but I may head out this Sunday or Monday. I really need to get out, since the 4runner is down till Monday.

I am thinking about selling the 04 Predator for a motard. Or maybe a Yamaha:D

Give me a call Adam 439-3958 if you want to go out this weekend. I have to go up to my property in the Westcliff area to sell it...the wife is at a resort this weekend with her girlfriends...so it is party time.
