Well, I sold the Raptor and purchased a YZ-450F. Holy Crap those are fast. I can pull the front wheel up in any gear. Very impressed.
Now for the bad. I haven't owned a Dirt bike in a few years...so today was a hard day of learning in Texas Creek. The suspension isn't set up very well for trail riding or cornering in sandy pea gravel. So I took 2 diggers today. I also remember what those darn pads are for in my riding pants that I so conveniently removed last year.
So it will be a learning curve again on teaching me how to turn a 4 stroke on these trail situations. Gearing down will help a lot for sure as well. So the suspension will have to be adjusted. I was out at PMI yesterday and I couldn't even bottom out the suspension...so I would say it is a little stiff. I sill had 4.3" left of downward travel.
What are you guys running for the main, needle position, pilot in the carbs?
