So I haven't been out flying in a bit, there's been a buncha reasons. Been trying to ski more, work, etc... Not to mention all of my planes to have some little problem or another.

I have a parkzone T28 and it's a fun little plane, the only problem I've really had was w/ the motor mount, it's totally the weak link in the brushless set up, and constantly on backorder and not available locally.

I made my own mount with mixed results. It worked well up to the point it failed in flight and sent my Trojan into a death spin... I recently found a guy on ebay who made an aluminum mount for it. It's a trick little tig welded piece.

So I picked this up and went off to the LHS to pick up a couple things to put it back together. This is where I stumbled on eflights foam safe glue and activator.

In all my repairs I've only used the glue, usually the generic HS brand. It works well, but nothing compared to a adhesive w/ the activator. I highly recommend using both on your next foamie fix.

I had almost written my T28 off b/c of the mount I had 2 stock one's fail, they can't seem to take any sort of bump or anything and I've even heard of them failing in fight w/ higher C batts. Mine showed stress cracks w/ out even having a hard landing on it, only from aerobatics.

So w/ the help of the mount and the ease of the activator I'm charging batts and going to have a few flights before work. :D

I had the same problem with the mount in my P-51. Those little plastic mounts broke with the slightest touch. Since I wasn?t even able to find replacements, I bought an aluminum universal one from Tower and then spent about two hours drilling new mounting holes and filing some edges down to make it fit.

Once I got the fit right I didn?t have any problems with it. I had a rough landing about two weeks ago and hit the prop hard on the ground but the mount held up and the prop broke which is great since those are easy to get and reinstall.

Nice, I was considering one of those mounts too, but I found this one. I

I'm running a different battery and the switched mount so the cg took a little playing with. I'm not sure if it's 100% where I want it.

I took it out just now for two flights at a park in east boulder. The wind was kicking up a bit but was completely managable.

Both flights went well, I haven't flown in a while, and I was happy to see that I didn't seem to lose much. The T28 is fair at aerobatics so it was fun to surf the wind and flip it around. Landings and takeoffs are cake w/ this plane. It floats in on a great slope, and I was able to bring it within 10 ft of where I was standing on all the landings.

Just glad to get it back in one peice to fly again. Pheww...
