View Full Version : RANT - motorcycle riders w/ no respect

OK, don't get me wrong, I appreciate the need to do a wheelie or whatever else you want to do on a bike. I used to ride and was stupid on the bike too on occasion.

The difference: I didn't do it in mid sunday traffic and almost kill myself along with 2 other cars full of people. I did it in a "controlled" environment where I wouldn't be putting anyone else's safety or life at risk. We rented dragstrips or used speed shop's parking lots w/ owners permissions, etc.

Why I have this rant?

The guy on the motorcycle I saw today almost killed himself along with 2 cars full of people on I-25.

Guys like this are why everyone says all sportbike riders blow arsehole.

What did he do? In heavy traffic, in the slow lane, with someone behind him in front of him and in his only escape route next to him, pulled a wheelie. Barely put it down before he ran into the SUV in front of him, swerved into the next lane of traffic because he couldn't brake in time and would have layed it down otherwise, and almost killed the people he cut off in the process.

THIS PISSES ME OFF.

I made Rich get close enough to get his plate number because I was calling *CSP.

Like I said, I appreciate the fact doing wheelies is cool and whatever. I used to be there. But for God's sake don't put other people at risk due to your stupidity and need to show off.

So if it happened to be you on the charcoal and black GSXR, I hope we meet some day, I was the passenger in the lifted white ext cab tacoma. I would like to knock your teeth out for you, if you haven't spilled by then and done it to yourself.

/rant

sorry it was so long.

I admit to riding like an idiot. But I never do "stunts" on the road. Thats just retarded.

i agree on BOTH SIDES, being a rider myself. careless riders AND cagers put alot of stress on both sides and a simple dose of common sense and courtesy can go a long way.

hopefully the police catch this guy, even though i'm a rider and have a lot of friends that ride, my life and my family come first.

Despite what my silly little friend here says, i used to ride on a more regular basis up til about last summer. I'm just not that into it anymore, the long canyon rides hurt my back, the in town rides are well they make me feel like i'm just being a poser, i did a track event and the screaming bikes flying past me made me nervous and my BFF and my Frisco no longer have their bikes sooooo, no one to really ride with that i'm comfortable riding with.

sorry for the thread jack Una. everyone else, please feel free to PM me regarding the bike. :)

He'll have his day getting scrapped off the of the street or off the side of a car by firemen and paramedics if he keeps it up. I can't stand the dumb @ss kids pulling dumb crap like wheelies on street bikes.

wow... sorry, I was just giving Suki a hard time, no need to get all up at arms about a little joke.

As for the idiot demonstrating his stupidity on I-25... sounds like natural selection waiting to happen. I was on Evans Sat around noon and there was an idiot doing wheelies (or at least trying to... hehehhe).

Time and a place people... Public streets are never the place, no matter what time.

Saw a guy pulling up the front end of his bike on Academy heading back from Crazy Ed's today. He never went into a full wheelie, but he was blipping the throttle and pulling the front end up a little bit, all in heavy traffic too. I kept waitin for him to have a little run in with someone's bumper.
