Nice mantality. I love how anything and everything goes in this society. But whatever, the end result is we now have courts that stipulate "adultery" is OK as long as both partners agree it's OK, and then the next divorce case comes in and someone loses custody of their kids/assets because they committed adultery. It would've been appropriate for the court to mandate they get a divorce since there's nothing about their relationship that even remotely resembles a real marriage. Divorce 'em, then they can do whatever the hell they want without wasting the valuable time of our courts deciding who can screw who.

Sorry, I'm bitter today. I'm just sick of how society puts no value or importance on the sanctity of marriage. But then again my personal beliefs always seem to get in the way of a true liberal attitude on my part.

I put no value or importance on something simply because it's sanctioned by the church and/or the state.

It's not marriage that's sacred, IMO, it's the relationship between the couple involved -- but only if that's how their relationship is defined. Personally, I can't separate my heart and my body anymore - love and faithfulness go hand-in-hand; there's not a man out there who holds any interest for me save satan. Beyond that, I have enough insecurity and abandonment issues without being involved in anything other than a monogamous relationship - not to mention the fact that experience is a hell of a teacher.
