Circus Circus is foul, like the Stratosphere foul. Actually, more like going to the Frontier, before it was auspiciously torn down.

I know when we stayed at Excalibur once, I was looking for dead hookers under the mattress. Ew.
I make the arrangements to go to Vegas and we stay on the 23rd floor of Paris, facing Bellagio.
My husband makes the arrangements to go to Vegas and we stay at Excalibur in the Dead Hooker Suite.
No more vacation planning for him.

Speaking of hotel/casino/resorts in Vegas.....
I'm adopting a dog to the owner of 14 resorts there!! I've never stayed at any of them (we always stay on the strip), but its kind of cool just the same.

Stratosphere. We booked in there one time when we were out there for Grateful Dead shows.
The tower was full, so they put us in some dive on the strip across the street, where the crack dealers and strung out streetwalkers roam.
Our room was so scary that we couldn't go to sleep unless we were passed out hammered.
One morning, there was a fresh crap on the walkway outside our room. I don't know if it was human or not. You literally had to step over it. It was there for 3 days.

You have to PAY to walk through there? Now that seems un-American.
One place I won't stay and that's Bally's. It creeps me out to think of the people that died there during the fire. Creepy.

Going over Spring break. Got a good deal at the Palazzo. From what I can tell seems comparable to Venetian.

I've been to Vegas many times. Best place I ever stayed out there was camping at the entrance of Black Velvet Canyon (west of Vegas) when I used to do a lot of rock climbing. Besides the usual wild burros, saw bighorns and a herd of wild horses. That was about 12-13 years ago, though, so I don't know if they're there any more.

I (and CGuava) stayed at the Frontier 2 weeks before it closed, all I remember thinking (before we even figured out they were closing it town) was telling him "jesus, I'd put money they're demoing this in less then two weeks". Place was straight up foul :flipoff2:

Next to the Chapel & Las Vegas Blvd. Liquor. I know that liquor store well, walked from that bastard all the way back to Imperial Palace last Sept. Longest walk EVER. Especially since I carried three 12 packs of beer with me.
Sure it was not me lacquered up. I left you a steamer for your enjoyment. :flipoff2:

Hands down, now that I think about it, my WORSE experience was the Barbary Coast. That place was foul. I remember being at the craps table and some 21 year old chic totally booted on the table.

Just got back from Vegas today. Stayed at Ceasers. Put me in the Centurian tower and about 11:00 pm on the first night realized we were camped out above one of the night clubs. Went and talked to the front desk and they upgraded us to the Palace Tower. Never go to the Centurian Tower it's not very good. The Palace Tower on the other hand was very nice.

In '03 the wife and I drove down to Baja - we figured we'd just get the cheapest room possible in Vegas, since all we needed was a place to sleep a few hours before making the final push into Mexico. We ended up at the Lady Luck - what a dump. That was the first time staying in a hotel where the "cable TV" offered fewer channels than what you can get in Denver over the air, and when we checked in, the front desk asked if we wanted to pay $30 more for the "upgraded room" which was no different in any way, other than it had a coffee maker and a hair dryer.
The room looked like it was elegant and impressive, circa 1977. Mr. Steve Rossi was the headliner at the Lady Luck's lounge when we stayed.

Last time I stayed at the Luxor some chick jumped from the 23rd floor. For those of you that haven't been to the Luxor, that would be an inside jump. Lots of people saw it and it made a mess.
