Good or bad? Anybody have any great or horrible stories regarding this subject? I need good fodder to encourage a fellow coworker to TCB. Thank you for your attention to this, please discuss :)

Other companies carry many varieties of pens... if you stick with one company the supply will dwindle or discontinue and cause issues with current stock. I've never had a good experience with it and have heard MANY, MANY horror stories. The only way that I know for it to work is if both are on the same page which seldom happens. Good luck though :D

I dated a gal who was higher up than me at one company and in a position of power politically at the company, but not over me. She turned out to be a mean biotch who was fawked-up in the head and a sore loser. People all over work knew about our break-up because she couldn't be professional and had to dish out sour grapes. I, on the other hand, kept a professional stance and it didn't take long for her to realize that she'd be better off buttoning her lip because it was turning against her. Lucky for me another job-opportunity came about (actually she was not a factor...I'd have changed jobs whether she was in the picture or not) and I moved on.
I didn't learn my lesson and I dated a gal at my next job. But that time, when we broke up, it was different...we were both able to be professional and function together without airing any differences. In fact, most folks never knew we broke up until they asked me if we were still seeing each other and I said "no." I suppose I was willing to date this gal because I saw her as able to maintain a professional composure.
The moral of the story is this: it can be okay, depending on who the individuals are, but to use caution. If those individuals are professionals under any circumstance, then I say they could go for it, otherwise I'd say they should avoid it. If one of them can't be professional should they break up, then it can be a nightmare, even for innocent bystanders.

If you have enough mind to stop and question the situation (good first step), simply answer the question:
When things don't work out, will I still be able to work everyday with this person?
Yes or no, you will have your answer.
Or like me, you smear that company ink all over the page, marry her and live in bliss every day since.:D

The simplest way to protect yourself against harassment is to video tape it. Just for safety's sake.

i've done it at most of my restaurant/bar jobs...
hooked up with a couple of them at the first restaurant i worked at, then went to a different restaurant, slept with one, then broke it off with her and started dating a girl (which lasted 2 years)... that led to the funnyness. my then-gf couldn't stand the first chick, and the rest of us just sat back and laughed at the drama. and at the bar i work at now, i was messing around with one of the servers, but the management told me it was her or my job, so i broke it off... she wasn't very cool about it, mainly cause i'd still come into the bar with other girls... :P the management just shakes their heads at me when we hire new girls

I was going to pass on this thread, but.......
I met my Wife at a previous employer a little over 11 years ago.
She was my boss at the time. :D We worked very well and everything
was professional until a day trip up to Estes Park one day, when the feelings finally came out. After that it was still all business until we collectively decided that one of us needed to leave the company because we both wanted to continue the relationship. She left about one month later for a nice new gig, we got married about 4 years ago and are still going strong after 10+ years together. We got married in Estes Park as well.
