I bought my wife a 1985 Honda Odyssey FL350. It needs some work and I want to find a Honda mechanic that would know something about older machines. If there are any on the board, or if anyone knows one that does work on the side, please let me know. Thanks.

I have two issues with it: replaced the clutch and the drive belt but it won't engage till close to max rpm and secondly, it needs to be tuned to run at altitude and I can't seem to get it right.
The reason I am looking for a Honda mechanic is to deal with the belt/clutch issue. Not sure what other vehicles have a drive system quite like an older Odyssey.

if you don't mind the drive Pro Motorsports in Denver is real good with the older machines my old LT 250R Zuk always went there for servicing

any mechanic that has dealt with those variable drives should be able to help out. They are also common on snowmobiles. Might just be the tension springs or as simple as the wrong size belt.

A good source I have used is called T-Fog Wheel sports in Lakewood area - 303-216-2400. Scott & Jim are the owners and very helpful. Tiny little shop tucked away but very knowledgable. Hope this helps.
