Hows the Hyudralics?

Check your grounds. Also check your fluid...make sure it is the right type. Back in the day, all plows used ATF. These days, ATF is too thick for external hydraulics.

I used to be the service manager for Boss Snowplows. My whole job was trouble shooting plows over the phone. I might be able to help, but I'm not too familiar with the meyer's system. However, for the most part, they function much the same.

Sounds to me that if the electricals check out, it could possibly be a clogged filter on the power unit not allowing fluid to move in certain ways at certain times. Sometimes a good 'ole flush and fill will do the trick. Was teflon tape used on the hydraulic fittings? This is often a cause of faulty hydraulics because the fluid dissolves the tape, and the tape clogs the lines.

Just a few ideas for you.

Have you cleaned the terminals on both the switches and solenoids? Mag has a real bad habit of corroding electrical connections and with it working on and off leads me to believe it mite be arcing. I replace all crimped connections every season.

You can look up the trouble shooting guide for Meyer on line, I had to with mine. Probably a silinoid, be my guess.
