Why didn't we finish the job there? It seems to me that whenever we go into a country to sort things out that we don't complete the job and this sort of thing happens.

Is it maybe because a lot of americans get tired and complacent, and figure if we do 50, 60, 0r 70% of the job, we can just stop and leave??

1. We were one of the very first countries to recognize Kosovo's independence

2. Attacking the Croatian embassy (which they did as well) doesn't get you the same kind of news coverage.

Damn, it seems like much of World is involved in some kind of conflict. It's never pretty.

I really don't know much of the situation over there, except that my younger brother is currently working for the U.N. in Belgrade. Haven't heard from him since any of this happened, just hope he's alright. I imagine I'll hear from him in the coming days - curious to see what his take on the situation is.
