Anyone ever tried this?

The web site.

The food chart.

A coworker told me about this, she's going to start it today. Her future mother in law SWEARS by it. Said not only did she loose weight but she has so much more energy that it changed her life.

Looks pretty reasonable. I think it's a repackaging of basic dietary principles, however.

Not so sure on the un-pasteurized milk, tho. :barf:

40% protien, 40% carbs, 20% fats (try to get the "good" fats), several small meals daily- a good guideline is a protien source the size of your fist and a carb source the size of your fist at each meal.

Of course, raising your activity level will provide the most benefit in terms of energy level and fat loss (notice I didn't say weight loss).

Water is water. Don't waste your money on brand names. Up to a gallon a day is what you should strive for, ideally.

The above is based on a few years experience in the field of fitness and weight management...........just a few years. ;)

I've lost 7lbs in three weeks. But its the bad/stupid starving diet. Have to shape up to find me some new play toys.

Gym will be starting back up again soon. As soon as my lazyarse workout partner gets his arse in gear.

I had my GB taken out and have had some digestive issues. Started going to accupuncture and was put on a Alkaline diet. Pain in the a$$ to focus so much on what you eat but I am feeling pretty good. Its suprising what foods are acidic vs. alkaline. Lemon is alkaline. Who would have thought. I've lost about 20lbs with no effort but not sure if related to the diet specifically or just generally not eating as much.

The weight loss is understandable. Its all just insainly healthy food. Almost worse then vegetarian.

But I want to know about energy levels? I'm not giving up my favorite foods just to loose weight, thats what the gym is for. But I'd do it for more energy. Especially with spring coming.

My Energy has been great, Quit coffee and still feel great in the morning after a nice big glass of Barley Grass :) It doesn't taste bad. As you said, its generally just good food intake.

Oh dude. All I have to do is tell your next door neighbor about your Barley Grass habit, and he'll have a field day with your hippie-ass.

Just kidding! :D :D :D

how are lemons and tomatoes alkaline? You can make a battery with either due to the acid level. What is the basis of the info on the site?

I was gonna ask the same thing. Both have a pH well below 7, making them acidic.

Some woman. I don't recall her specifics, but I heard her on KOA one night. I couldn't believe the stuff she was saying that was Alkali. Almost everything we eat according to her.
Oh and she was selling some book also.

I have some leverage on my NRA neighbor. Ask him about the cat that went missing.

I thought it was strange as well but the information I was given by the acupuncturist shows the same as what Dagimp published.

Ya know, nearly all the diet crap that is published is just that, crap. No basis on anything relevant. Easy way to publish a book. Just cause it is in a book doesn't mean it is true, just like the web.

Stupidity feeding on stupidity.

Eat less dessert, eat more vegetables, easy on the alcohol, not too much fried foods and get off your lazy butt. It just isn't that hard to figure out. There is no magic combination.

You can trick things by starving your body of certain nutrients and cause weight loss. Eat grapefruits for 3 months or only eat meat, whatever. At some point you have to get off the weird food train and your body with try to recover and prepare for future "food shortages" and likely pack on the pounds. Our gotta have it fast society is weird.

Not what I would call a reliable and credible source. Look into it further before accepting it as truth.

I'm gonna publish a book on losing weight. It's gonna have two pages. The first page will say "Eat Less." The second will say "Move More." I'm gonna be a bazillionaire. :spit:

I doubt it. Now if it was " The McDonald/Wendys/KFC Weight Loss Diet" http://copyrightauthority.com/copyright-symbol/Copyright-Symbol-images/Copyright_symbol_5.gif it'd be a huge hit.

Funny thing is I eat pretty healthy most of the time. I have to admit there is a shortage of green stuff. But if I have it as an option I will eat it. Chef Salada yesterday for lunch. Could have had a double cheese grease burger.

My MAIN reason for needing to loose weight is

But recently I've also been taking the stairs when possible, parking further away from the front door, rather than searching for the best spot. Choosing activities instead of what to watch on the tube....

Its helping but my energy level is still pretty low. I was just hoping this diet really worked for energy. I'm not looking to use it to loose weight.

But you should publish that book, it would be a good gag gift :D

So you're going to change what you eat completely so that you can still drink beer and stay skinny?

Uh, OK.

If you really want to lose weight, and don't care about your health, just pick up a nice little weekend cocaine habit. That'll keep the pounds off.
