View Full Version : Dish DVR tips or tricks?

I just upgraded to the Dish DVR and am curious if anyone has suggestions for tips or tricks?

I have discovered I can increase the total record hours by adding an external hard drive using the USB port on the back.

Is there a way to move recordings over to DVD other than just recording the playback in real time?

I love my 622 the hard drive feature allowed me ot put a 750 gig on t and store stuff I want to keep indefinately

What kind of format does it save it in?

totally proprietary, I have tried a great number of ways to get to the data I know it reformats the drive in ext2 but the data is compressed and encrypted to the device its plugged into sadly.
