Neatimage vs Noise Ninja vs Noiseware vs. What you get in PS?
Which one do you use, if any of those, and why?
I've been using the noise reduction available in CS3 but was considering downloading a plug-in.
I just got the Portraiture plugin for CS3 and I love it....helps create that glamour skin look without me having to create masks and lower opacity and stuff. But I'm not sure if I need a plugin for noise reduction. What say you?

I use NeatImage for batch processing when I ***** up and forget to adjust the ISO back down. It works well and is free (yes, I work within the confines of the free version, not worth $80 to me to buy it).
So tell me more about this portraiture plug-in....

the two portrait programs I now use are "PortraitProfessional" and "Portraiture" by Imagenomics.
I actually like PortraitProfessional better because I think it's easier to use and has better, more believable results.
As with anything, it's always a good idea create a new layer and adjust the opacity down to your changes. Too much can be a bad thing. :)
Actually, maybe there is a blog idea in this as well...since we do book reviews, maybe we should start doing product or software reviews.

I've been pondering a noise reduc software as well. I'm interested to see what people have to say. I shot at ISO 800 for my cheer thing and upped the clarity which helped tone down the noise. But It would have been fine without it too.
