So I changed my fuel filter and oil today. I head over to a friend's house and get a couple miles down the road and remember that I forgot to reconnect the sensor on the air filter box. I pulled over, shut off the engine, reconnected the sensor, and headed down the road. This is when I noticed the CEL was on (it may or may not have been on the whole time). I drove to Castle Rock and back with the CEL on. I made a stop by my house on the way home, and when I started it the last time, the CEL was finally off.
Am I correct in assuming that once it hit a certain mileage after hooking the sensor up, that it cleared the code, or could it have been something else?
Thanks.....Josh.

More than likely, the computer just was now seeing that everything was now correctly functioning. Usualy, once everything is working correctly, after so many starts the CEL will shut off. I'm not too familiur with the CTD though. I'm sure someone else will chime in.

Turn your ignition key to the on position 3 times (don't start). On the third time, leave the key in the on position. If you have any codes stored, they will display where you read your odometer. If you need the codes cleared, Auto Zone had the scanners. Find someone with a Smarty CR in your area and they can clear the DTC codes. I have done this a few times as well....I just got in a hurry. Have a good day.

Let us know what codes you come up with when you turn the key 3 times, as Chris says. I have a Smarty CR and can clear them if need be.

I almost forgot to check my codes. I am getting the following...
P0073 Inlet Air Temperature Sensor Voltage Too High
P0073 Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit High (TIPM)
P0107 Manifold Absolute Pressure/BARO Sensor Low Input
P0514 BAT Temperature Sensor Rationality
Would all of these be a result of leaving the air filter sensor unhooked?

I would think that it is. I think I read the other day that it will take 10 starts for the computer to clear it itself.
