So i got a never summer eclipse classic pintail longboard a while back and I am really starting to enjoy just going for a ride. where does everybody else enjoy riding and what do you ride? I usually just ride around neighborhoods but I would like to find some areas where there are little cars and nice surfaces for a long ride. So where does everybody like to go??

Mine got stolen a couple years back but it was my main form of transportation around campus and town. Freakin' loved that thing! I got into a lot of trouble with it too though, since they can just fly! I have a friend at UCCS that races them semi-pro.

basically its an oversized skateboard. Its usually really flexy with larger wheels meant for anything from just cruising to carving to bombing hills.
go to www.neversummer.com and click on skateboards to get an idea.
youve seen em before im sure...

my puppy will ride on the front with me but I am nervous to take the other dogs. dont take them on too many walks and I would be afraid of them jerking me or trying to walk in front of me...

I am not looking for the speed!! speed wobbles scare the bejebus out of me and i dont have such good balance yet. I got it as my snowboard crosstrainer to build balance and what not...

My daughter rides on the front of mine. It took a little training to teach my dog to not be an idiot while running. Every once in while he'll stop to smell something or piss. He gets all excited when I grab the board and gets pissed when I don't take him.

Used to ride all the time, but big hills, fast bearings, booze and older age led to my literal downfall.

word. I found that the walkway by the fountain river got re done and most of the concrete is actually pretty nice!! theres a couple roller hills but the twisty and turny nature of them still make me a bit nervous, but once I get the threshhold thats gonna be a FUN area.

The CSU newspaper printed an article last semester on how the school was looking into passing regulations to effectively ban them around campus. Boooo.
Oh and if you want speed wobbles I'll let you ride my mountain board, which is a longboard with even FLEXIER suspension, bindings, and big pnuematic tires. That thing is just plain deadly.

The hills are fun you need to carve like a mother to keep your speed under control. I haven't done the tuck and roll in a while. All this talk I'm going right now!!!!

WOW so that being said on a wheeling site I'm assuming that you are the most hardcore wheeler ever. The thread title is "anyone enjoy longboarding?" not anyone rather longboard cause they are to big of a puss to hit a rail? Have you ever rode a longboard? Have you ever gone down a hill at 30mph and had to control your speed by carving? Then on the same hill taken a harder fall than you will ever take on any rail cause you are doing 30mph. Your a dumb ass!!!!!!!!!!:tisk:

I ride a homemade one whenever I'm back home in CA. Been riding various models for about 14 years now.
BTW, I've never been into the "gaps & rails". I just like to cruise.

Age is a bitch ain't it. After riding a bit, my entire lower body is sore as hell.

Ya i have one as well. i used to get my alaskan malamute and have her drag me to the liquor stores all kinds of stuff. Now it's become my son and his friends new toy.
I used to live on this hill in golden, and one day i was watching tv and my son and my room mates daughter were outside playing. Well, i see both of them come out of my garage with a couple of my helmets. i didn't think anything of it, and a couple minutes later i'm standing outside and i hear this longboard haulin fricken bawls. Here they both come sitting on my longboard geared up with my MX and sleddin helmets, doing at least 30 using the speed bumps as jumps. (they're the wide roller type speed bumps)
Hilarious to see them actually gear themselves up for such a feat! :D
