I origionally found this site back in '99. He was still shooting with a film camera at the time but now shoots digital. The technique makes for some very cool pictures.

I don't like that he uses his own lighting. I think it ruins the whole aspect of night shooting.

I like artistic nature of it. I'd probably shoot it both ways, as each would have it's own use.

speaking of night photography, DDR is hosting a night photography course that includes a camping stay in Moab. April is the anniversary month of my getting into the photo biz, so I plan on going to commemorate.

Thats one of the things that I like. I like his earlier work (with the film camera) a little better than the newer stuff. I just think the colored lighting adds a whole different feeling to the pictures. Sure its not 100% true "night" photography, its more of an artistic interpretation.

I like how one guy said he couldn't sleep so he went out shooting...whata GREAT idea. Instead of getting on this site at 3am (as I so often do) I should grab the Oly and drive around. Hmmm...
