So 'went to the stock show and rodeo today, tried shooting at ISO 1600. Olympus isn't known for its high ISO because of its small sensor. I need to find a good noise reduction software for such occasions, but until then I'll deal with it. This is the first time I've shot at such a high ISO and after having the camera for 5 months, shooting at 1600 ISO twice a year doesn't bother me at all. There's a few 800s in there too.

(These are all straight from the camera RAW converted in LR with some slight moving of the exposure slider.)

Enjoy...CC is always welcome. (Still can't figure out why Photobucket always desaturates my photos...

On pictures with lots of different color or texture, ISO noise isnt really all that noticeable as you can see in most of your shots. Its when you get BIG, solid colors or shadows and smooth objects is when its most noticeable. Some good shots in there though

IIRc, I have been reading where the in camera NR is pretty aggressive, and it actually helps to turn it off, then run through proper NR software on the computer. I could be wrong though. Regardless, you got some good shots. Nice job.

Yeah, people on dPreview have said to either turn it on Low or just turn it off. I think I have it on Low.
