My wife and I are planning to hang out in the BV area and would like to do some snowshoeing. I know there are some locals on the board and was hoping to find info on some good trails and conditions.

Thanks much!

Not sure whether you're after a trail or bushwacking it, but I was up there a couple weeks ago and headed west on Cottonwood Pass and it dead ends (snow) at Avalanche Trailhead. TONS of snowmobiles there, but we just headed due North bushwacking it up the mountain. There are several trails around there from what it looked like though. Head North from there towards Leadville and there are tons of places on the West side of the highway (again I mostly bushwack when I snowshoe). Head south and go up Tin Cup Pass (not sure how long of a distance that is hiking though, I have only driven it)...

Call the Trailhead 719-395-8001, Keith or who ever is working can point you in the right direction.
