Looking into a Barrett m107 for next season. I think it should be sufficiant.

I havent shot an M107 but i did fire the M99 a few years ago which is its bolt action brother. Recoil really isnt as bad as one might think. Its about the equivalent of shooting a 3" 12 gauge slug off a bench. The combination of high weight and excellent muzzle break makes it managable. Its not brutal but it definitely will get your attention of you and those around you! I fired 10 rounds through it and that was plenty...my shoulder was plenty bruised the next day.

I would not recomend you shott an elk with it if you plan on having any elk left to eat... of course, fmj will probably not expand much on an elk, but any hunting-type round would do some major damage.

now, for WTZC, the barret could be very useful. muhahahahaha...
