Very cool! I have heard that they were looking into some new innovations, but wasn't sure what they were.
BTW, when did they change the logo and remove the "S" (Sturm)? I hadn't seen this before.

Looks like it uses the firing mechanism from the 10/22. I bet it would make a great little target shooter.

Thats all it is...a 10/22 action with a short barrel and pistol stock. Still pretty cool though!

It only cost $300 too.
I might pick one up for the wife. Looks like fun.

Talked to my "gun" guy...he said 275+ tax. I said "Sold!" You couldnt even build one close to that for that cheap. No idea when they will be available though.

Ive already had 3 people PM with with requests...they are NOT available yet, at least not yet to his distributor. And no, i cant get that price for just anyone. He is a Wyoming FFL anyways and since it qualifies as a pistol it wouldnt do you Colorado guys any good unless you wanted to pay for next day shipping down there which would not be cost effective.

I really like it and will check it out for sure once it is available.
Volquartsen makes a 10/22 based pistol but it is a lot more than this Ruger offering.

Back when Charter Arms had the license to make the AR-7 survival rifle, they came out with a pistol version that was pretty cool. Kind of looked like a miniature broomhandle Mauser.
I guess this little .22 would be fun but I'm not sure what it would be good for other than burning up lots of .22lr ammunition (especially since it can use those 20, 30 and 50 round 10/22 mags.)
Would be fun if you had a nice rest, However, given its weight I can't imagine anyone will be doing much off-hand shooting with this thing.

It would be hard to shoot off-hard but put a 30 round mag in it and use it and a forward grip, that might help. :D
